Youth Hostels in Rome

Live like the Romans do, well at least for a few days; Rome will be a trip you will never forget. Between seeing the Colesseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Rome is sure to be memorable. You can find cheap hotels and youth hostels pretty easily and budget meals too. Youth hostels, cheap hotels, convents, bed and breakfasts, apartments all abound but it is always best to book early. If you choose a convent stay, be courteous and aware of curfews. Rome, being Italian, has pizzerias and cafes galore making cheap meals like a couple pizza slices or a panini easy. Public transportation is easy to manage and makes getting to Vatican City very easy and well worth the 1 euro ticket. Don’t miss out on St. Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel but arrive early as lines get very, very, long. You will be able to see the rest of the city by foot or climb on a touring bus that takes you around to all the sights--you can get on and off when you please and there are discount tickets available in the afternoon. The nightlife of Rome is also worth mentioning--there are wine bars if that is what you prefer or clubs and bars especially near the university center and in the summer great beach parties. Rome hostels will offer you a nice range of the cheapest accommodation available. From a bed in a dorm to double and single private rooms sharing the bathroom and many hostels even have a few rooms with en-suite shower.
